Season Opener vs Pike High School

The North Central Swimming & Diving team successfully opened the 2024-25 season with a pair of victories over MIC rival Pike. The NC girls swept all 12 events on the way to a resounding 137-43 victory while the boys won 8 of 12 events and topped the Red Devils 95-85.

The Panther girls were led by junior Kayley Spicer, who was a quadruple winner. Spicer took individual first-place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 Freestyle and chipped in on a pair of winning relays. Spicer teamed with juniors Sarah McPherson, Molly Reffett and Lillian Tabor to win the 200 Medley Relay; and teamed with seniors Anna Brames and Gabby Koon and freshman Annie Wolfe to win the 400 Freestyle Relay.

McPherson, Reffett and Tabor teamed with senior Abby Marshall to win the 200 Freestyle Relay. Koon (50 Freestyle & 100 Backstroke) and McPherson (100 Breaststroke) were triple winners, adding first-place finishes in their respective events to their relay wins. Brames won the 500 Freestyle. Marshall won the 100 Butterfly and Wolfe won the 200 Freestyle. And junior Adelyn Flessner won diving.

The Panther boys were led by senior Sam Wolfe and sophomore Sebastian Granados, who were triple winners on the night. Wolfe won the 50 & 100 Freestyle, Granados won the 100 Butterfly and 100 Breaststroke, and both boys teamed with junior David Buening and sophomore Axel Garcia to win the 200 Medley Relay.

Sophomore Jack Campbell won the 200 Freestyle. Buening (200 IM) and Garcia (100 Backstroke) added individual wins in their respective events to their relay victory.
